USB recovery checklist

What is proven

Normal Android's Settings updater scans a USB filesystem for /upgrades/autorun*.upg, validates product/version metadata and hands an A/B payload to UpdateEngine. This is an update path, not yet a proven dead-boot recovery path.

What is missing

  • official full autorun*.upg for 43PUS7394/12 / TPM191E_R;
  • Philips SHA-256/provenance and release notes;
  • exact USB filesystem/layout requirements;
  • physical button/key sequence and whether AC insertion is required;
  • proof it operates when Android/ADB cannot boot;
  • display/LED progress and safe timeout;
  • downgrade/rollback restrictions.

Do not proceed until

Philips/TPVision documentation and firmware are obtained from an official source, hashes are recorded, model/platform compatibility is explicit and an equivalent-device rehearsal succeeds. Do not use forum mirrors or similarly named firmware from another TPM platform. No USB recovery was executed.
